#WebSummit Day3 Impressions and Sketchnotes

The flickr album is updated with both sketchnotes and a little video of the guys from Mo’Joes having fun with their product. It has been a great Summit. Hope you all had fun. Please feel free to share the sketches and let me know your impressions and ideas.

I am exited to see the repeated call for added value on the wearables side of things. This positions my research on wearables and presence of mind in the workplace perfectly. For now, back to San Francisco. I will be speaking about Wearables in the Workplace at the StartUp Tech Mixer on the 14th and the Product Summit on the 20th. Hope to see you there.  In the meantime, enjoy the sketchnotes on Wearables and Internet of Things from the Web Summit!

Sketchnotes/Reflections Day One at WebSummit 2014

More to come, as this is just Day One. I was particularly impressed and excited by Sara Robb O’Hagan’s call for turning insights into action and understanding behavioral change. Lo and behold, she even put in a push for mindfulness. Great stuff from the Equinox. Met some great characters today in the startup booths with passion and innovation burning strong. I just wish they would take Sonny Vu’s advice and design for more the market beyond men in tech. There is some pretty ugly gear out there. Ah, well, there is room for improvement, innovation and creativity. So that is exciting.

#sketchnotes Brand Innovators Summit on Social Commerce #bisummit

Brand Innovators are at it again assembling an ever inspirational and fun group to share best practice, talk about the future and have great fun. Thanks Ted Rubin for inviting me to join the conversation. It was a great event with much to think on. The day was filled with creating new stories with Liza Sperling of Tongal, Judy Chan of Livescribe, Susie Weitzman, Kristin Kosglow of Chango and reconnecting with Brian Solis, Bryan Kramer and of course, Ted, to the sharing insight of B. Bonin Bough of Mondelez, Jennifer Sey of Levi’s and many more. I hope you enjoy my sketchnotes, they are more fun when one can share and continue to build on the stories they tell. I look forward to many more. I only wish my iPad battery had lasted the entire event, and that I had to leave before the real fun got started. Until next time!

Sketchnotes: Nordic Game 2013

It was a great Day One at Nordic Game. Louise Wester and I had the pleasure of digital sketchnoting the keynotes. We managed to sneak in a few extras and enjoyed the day. Please feel free to share and let us know what you think. Several people asked us about using visualisation for ideation and storyboarding for games. The answer is YES! It works well, we can help and let us know if you need it. Thanks for a great event and congratulations to the winners of the Nordic Game Awards. Cheers!

Future Leadership – Sketchnotes

20130226-095515.jpg

This morning’s presentation was an interesting blend of transformational leadership, action versus reaction, connection and context. Maria Gustafsson of Actea Consulting spoke with passion from a perspective that I share on the application of leadership to all areas of our lives and organisations. I am looking forward to continuing our conversation on the applied use of social and transformational leadership theories into organisations. Theories are all fine and good, but without implimentation in practice they are just talk.
